Combined Committee Hearing:
Jacki Rickert Medical Marijuana Act
December 15,
2009 Wisconsin State Capitol.
A combined public hearing on AB554/SB358, the
Jacki Rickert MMJ Act was held where citizens
could submit written testimony, and/or testify
in person in regards to medical marijuana in the
state of Wisconsin.
The bill is
not about marijuana legalization, but creating a
narrow exemption for the sick and dying.
Legalizing marijuana overall is not covered by
the bill, and is not pertinent to this
discussion.
Passage of
this act will ensure that qualified
patients shall no longer be sanctioned
for their medicinal use of marijuana.
I personally
wasn't at this hearing for fear that they would
not let me in to video record.
How fortunate I am to find this video from
madison .com
I can not explain the video cause it seems to be
missing quite a bit of information.
It was recommended that to attend I should dress
appropriately. I mainly have tye-dyes. and since
it is not for total legalization, my testimony
would not have been heard.
